The most ideal time to book your portraits would be at the beginning of the year (January-March) prior to your graduation year. For example, if you graduate from high school in June 2025, you should start booking your senior photographer at the beginning of the year in 2024.
Yearbook photo deadlines vary by school, but some schools require your senior portrait turned in as early as the fall of your senior year. This means you need to get your photos taken by late summer and early fall at the latest before your graduation year for some schools.
